Catherine Henry was recently featured on Comcast Newsmakers to discuss Work Options for Women. WOW was founded when federal legislation, aimed at reducing welfare rolls, made it clear that without a successful job-training program, hundreds of Denver-area women and their children would become homeless.
During the interview, Catherine talks about WOW’s 16-week program that provides culinary training for women who are unemployed and/or homeless. In the past 13 years, the WOW program has continued on a successful path. We are so proud of our graduates! We are currently seeing an 83 percent success rate of our graduates employed at the 12 month mark.
To hear more about our program and our graduate’s success, check out the interview.
This interview will air on CNN Headline News throughout the month of October and on Comcast Video on Demand in November.
