“Founded in 2002, the J. Jill Compassion Fund is committed to providing support to community-based organizations that help disadvantaged and homeless women become self-sufficient. We are honored to give local organizations nationwide that help women in need regain their independence through programs that focus on education, job skills, and transitional and affordable housing.”
The philanthropic arm of the successful women’s clothing outfitter J. Jill has been doing their part to help impoverished women in Denver by supporting WOW since 2004. In 2011, a generous $15,000 grant was awarded. In addition, J. Jill sends over a dozen or more boxes of new clothing every quarter. This makes it feasible for every woman in the program to inherit a new outfit – many times a business-appropriate outfit that can be worn to job interviews after graduation. This donation is just another way to help WOW participants regain their sense of confidence and independence. Who doesn’t feel good in a brand new outfit?
WOW sincerely thanks the J. Jill Foundation for their continued generosity. Learn more about J. Jill and the Fund here.
